Monmouthshire Food Festival Caldicot Castle 2nd – 3rd June 2018
At Monmouthshire Food Festival the summer starts here in the historic surroundings of Caldicot Castle and Country Park with a packed programme of demonstrations, talks, tastings and lots of foodie fun for our younger visitors.
The Chef’s Theatre demonstrations feature many of Monmouthshire’s best chefs who will give a taste of the county’s finest hotels and restaurants. Joining us in the Chef’s Theatre is Mark Turton Chef/Owner of No. 7 Church Street Restaurant and rooms. Also demonstrating is Tim McDougall, Head Chef of the Llansantffraed Court Hotel. His demonstrations are legendary and not to be missed.
Courtesy of Guide Dogs Cymru, some of the cleverest canines around will be attending the Monmouthshire Food Festival. Guide dog Mason together with his owner Nathan will give a demonstration on how blind people prepare meals for their family. Also how about a chance to find out what it is like to not be able to see? Put on a blindfold and take a walk through the sensory tunnel.
Once again The Children’s Quarter will be hosted by a team from Monmouthshire Youth Service. They will have lots of activities for our young foodies to enjoy with one or two surprises!
The Producers Market is full of delicious food and drink to try and buy. Whether a glass of beer brewed just a mile and a half from Caldicot Castle’s drawbridge or some Monmouthshire made brownies.
Why not stay for lunch, perhaps a gourmet burger, pizza with a difference or maybe a picnic treat in the grounds of the Castle with food and drink from our Producers?
